Before and After your Permanent Makeup appointment
In order to achieve good results it is necessary to take some precautions before and after your appointment. They are kindly listed below.
BEFORE YOUR PROCEDURE
- Do not have botox 2 weeks before your procedure
- Do not tint your eyebrows 1 week before the procedure.
- Peelings and facial treatments, should be avoided for 1 month before and after your treatment
In order to avoid excessive bleeding and poor colour results:
- Do not drink alcohol 24 hours (heavily for 48 hours) before your tattoo
- Do not drink coffee before your procedure
- Do not take an aspirin or ibuprofen for pain relief (this thins the blood)
- Suspend the use of any blood thinner 5 days prior your appointment, if possible
AFTERCARE
A big part of the eyebrow and lips result will depend on the aftercare.
The aftercare instructions will be run with you on the day of your appointment. In order to make you aware of any necessary arrangements of your routine, here are the most important points for you to consider:
- You shouldn't get your eyebrows wet for the first 24 hours. Mind this information for your hair washing routine.
- Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks after procedure
- No facials, Botox, chemical treatments, peels or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks
- Avoid hot, and sweaty exercise for 1 week,and avoid swimming, saunas and Jacuzzis for 2 weeks
- Avoid topical makeup including sunscreen on the area, so book your Permanent Makeup appointment at least 4 weeks prior to any wedding or social event.
